Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Organics Recycling Facility (ORF) Operator performs skilled work that is necessary in operating the day-to-day functions of depackaging food waste.  

Responsibilities 

• Responsible for the depackaging of food waste and products brought into the facility 
• Assist with managing the daily truck loads 
• Communicates with team lead on daily depackaging workflow standards  
• Complete daily rounds of equipment and capture process flows 
• Accurately record all operational parameters and respond to unsatisfactory trends 
• Write work orders on work management software to track repairs and scheduled maintenance 
• Assist in creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures 
• Supports and promotes the philosophy of maintaining an accident/incident free workplace 
• Adheres to, and has full working knowledge of, the company safety program. Will have limited 

oversight responsibility for outside contractors to ensure that they are working in a safe manner 

• Regularly communicates with internal personnel to ensure facility has upmost productivity within capacity limits 
• Demonstrates knowledge of and supports the health and safety programs in all activities.  
• Assist and supports outside contractors with on-site maintenance 
• Participate in plant housekeeping programs and material handling safety activities to ensure safe working conditions 
• Participate in the planning and execution of preventative maintenance activities 
• Reliable and on-time attendance

Skills and Qualifications 

• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle is required 
• Ability to regularly lift, move, push and/or pull objects weighing up to 50lbs 
• Ability to operate heavy machinery/equipment including forklift  

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Maintenance and operating experience in an industrial processing environment. 
• Operational experience may be supplemented with military experience or training in a related field. 
• A relevant background in safety procedures/practices. 
• Able to quickly respond to rapidly changing conditions. 
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and to make sound recommendations on conditions. 
• Fundamental proficiency in Windows-based applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel) on a PC or tablet required. 

Working Conditions 

• Work locations are industrial, indoor and outdoors. 
• Limited exposure to hazardous materials and/or toxic fumes will require the use of approved personal protective equipment. Regular exposure to heat, noise, flammable materials, rotating equipment, and other conditions normally encountered in an industrial environment should be expected.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the scope, schedule, and cost of Organics projects. The project manager allocated to the project will report to the project management office team lead and will have a dotted line reporting structure to the project sponsor for the project. Responsibilities 

• Support three Organics projects simultaneously.  
• Be responsible for identifying any potential scope creep and managing risk. 
• Continuously maintain and update the risk register for development, engineering, and construction management.  
• Analyze the trends and identify focus areas or improvement ideas and collaboratively working with various teams to jointly develop/implement strategies to improve project performance.  
• Conduct scheduled meetings to track the progress and report to the management. 
• Conduct weekly meetings and tracking progress on safety, procurement, engineering, construction, contract management, project accounting, schedule, cost and quality.  
• Be responsible for budget control during construction, will manage the change order control process, and will seek approvals from the project sponsor for any non-budgeted or unexpected expenses.  
• Compile the project progress update reports and submit them to the project sponsor.

The Senior HSE Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining full compliance with Corporate HSE Standards at all company-owned and/or operated assets nationwide. This position provides strategic direction to ensure adherence to applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards at all stages of the asset lifecycle. Leads and develops team of HSE professionals in a geographically spread operation. Must be able to interact with a broad range of stakeholders including clients, JV partners, executives, high-level managers, and frontline personnel. Must have expert knowledge of health, safety and environmental standards including 29 CFR 1904, 1910, 1926 and OSHA PSM. Ability to provide technical guidance and develop talent/competencies of frontline personnel is critical. 

Responsibilities 

• Builds mechanisms to foster a positive and sustainable HSE culture at field/remote sites; coordinates employee engagement and participation activities to attain corporate HSE objectives. 
• Provides HSE technical guidance to support all levels of company and third-party contractor workforce; acts as Subject Matter Expert and supports development of Corporate HSE and PSM Standards. 
• Leads or oversees incident response, notification, investigation and reporting; may facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with company and contractor personnel. 
• Facilitates adoption of emergency response and crisis management protocols; liaises with First Responders, LEPC, SERC, OSHA, DOT, EPA, NRC and other stakeholders as appropriate. 
• Executes audit, assurance and/or verification & validation (V&V) programs to evaluate effectiveness of applicable safe work practices (SWP), process safety standards, environmental best practices and company policies.

• Designs, develops and coordinates the execution of Corporate HSE Training Programs in alignment with company policies and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, DOT) 
• Tracks, consolidates and routinely reports all lagging KPIs including incidents, near-misses, hours worked, etc. 
• Participates in risk management studies (HAZOP, LOPA, What-If) and hazard analysis (JSA, JHA) as required. 
• Acts as the central HSE liaison to field operations managers and supervisors. 

Skills and Qualifications 

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field, e.g., Engineering, Science, Occupational Health and Safety.

The Owners’ Representative is responsible for monitoring the project site to ensure that  projects are completed safely, to high quality, within budget and on time. This role will collaborate with an assigned Project Manager as well as other stakeholders including contractors, regulators, farms and Vanguard internal departments including development, engineering and procurement to ensure performance meets standards and to monitor and report project progress.  

Responsibilities 

• Must be willing to relocate for 10-15 months at a time to be on project site and ensure successful project completion. 
• Responsible for representing Vanguard’s best interests and execute the project goals and objectives.  
• Make sure the contractors for the project execute the work safely, within quality  on schedule and within the approved budget. 
• Anticipate risks and keep the project running smoothly – communicate to all parties to ensure that all  project team members are engaged at the right time and are meeting their contractual deliverables. 
• Serve as the liaison between farms, feedstock suppliers, engineers, contractors, testing agencies, utility providers, and third-party vendors. 
• Lead accountability and assurance that all project team members are working towards the company’s goals and objectives.  
• Act as Vanguard’s eyes and ears on the project site. Be present and accountable on the project site daily. 
• Establish clear lines of communication and ensure all team members are working towards achieving the project goals and objectives. 
• Recognize where inherent risks exist and appropriately manage and mitigate these risks.

The Fleet Manager is responsible for the overall fleet quality & appearance of the fleet. The Fleet Manager oversees all commercial vehicles, drivers, and related assets, including their operations, conditions, external and internal policy compliance, and overall performance. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Direct or indirect management of mechanics including the reviews, hiring & firing of mechanics. 
• Maintainer of the fleet asset management system 
• Responsible for the renewal of plates, obtaining plates for new vehicles. 
• Management approvals for any maintenance related items. 
• Manager of the fleet walk-around program and process, assures daily inspections of all equipment. 
• Assures all vehicles are maintained immediately. 
• Procures, tracks & Manages asset order to delivery   
• Procures all maintenance related supplies through vendor relationships. 
• Provides equipment specifications and assures standardization. 
• Procures all new & used rolling stock while levering the company buying power. 
• Makes recommendation for buying decisions based on age, condition, and ongoing maintenance costs. 
• Retires vehicles when necessary. 
• Secures relationships along with finance is securing operating lease lines for rolling stock. 
• Presents lease line schedule to management by company and by month, makes recommendations to hold lease line to budget. 
• Assures that all maintenance and equipment costs are transferred to the correct P&L. 
• Maintains the fleet brand by assuring consistent fleet colors, signage, etc. 
• Supports due diligence efforts of new acquisitions by overseeing equipment review and condition as well as the overall maintenance program, makes recommendations. 
• Leads the integration team of new acquisitions to assure fleet numbers are included in the asset system, leverages buying power, completes equipment and supply inventory, disseminates equipment, etc. 
• Responsible for the tracking of fleet equipment regarding equipment transfers.   
• Monitors and reports on fleet utilization  
• Manages the maintenance P&L to budget, assures that the vehicle maintenance expense line item is being managed.  
• Makes outsourcing recommendations, makes hiring recommendations 
• Assures that all maintenance shops are a clean and safe working environment. 
• Sets standards for mechanics for work related items such as budgeted time for tune ups, budgeted time to replace truck tires, etc. 
• Develop key performance indicators for the overall program such as customer satisfaction, downtime for equipment, etc. 
• Takes the lead in preparing the capital budget process for most capital related items including pumps, generators, compressors, etc. 
• Constantly reviews equipment rentals and subcontracting expenditures, makes recommendations. 
• Maintains the Company relationship with national rental firms.   
• Responsible for accident investigation, equipment damage investigation and follows up with recommendations to management. 

Qualifications: 

• 5+ years in Fleet Manager or related role 
• Extensive knowledge of Federal, State and Provincial transportation and waste regulations under all modes of transportation

The Logistics Associate National Accounts is responsible for supporting the National Sales Team. You will be a key member of the central dispatch team for all organic sales across North America.  Working within of internally developed Materials Management System to source, manage, track all inbound and outbound loads as they relate to our Digesters/ORFs/Strategic Partners and load reconciliation.  Additionally, the LM will be responsible to troubleshoot logistics solutions and create streamlined operations related to developing a central dispatch system and team. Strong communication skills with internal and external partners, haulers, equipment companies and end-site providers to support sales across the country.  You must be organized, detail-oriented and enjoy developing strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You must be a self-starter who can work independently.  Consistent communications and quality customer service will be imperative to developing long-term relationships with new partners.

• Dispatch & manage of multiple hauling, logistics and end site disposal companies

This position reports directly to the Procurement Manager and plays a critical role in sourcing materials for biogas plants, researching potential vendors, and maintaining records of purchases, pricing, and other critical supply chain data. 

Responsibilities 

• Assist in the procurement process, including sourcing potential vendors, comparing prices, and negotiating contracts. 
• Maintain and update supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc. 
• Support the Procurement Manager in market research to keep abreast of changing industry trends. 
• Process purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. 
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data. 
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time. 
• Respond to supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure smooth process flow.
