WORKING HAND-IN-HAND WITH THE DAIRY INDUSTRY TO SOLVE GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS CHALLENGES AND ENHANCE FARM PROFITABILITY

Vanguard Renewables Ag, the nation’s leading developer and operator of manure-only anaerobic digesters, works alongside America’s dairy farmers to successfully reduce greenhouse gas emissions and enhance farm profitability. A division of Vanguard Renewables, our focus is to develop and professionally operate dairy-manure only to renewable natural gas facilities nationwide.

A 20,000-cow dairy produces approximately 760 mmbtu/day of renewable natural gas – the equivalent of 9.25 MW of power.

FARMERS FACE EXCEPTIONAL CHALLENGES

We recognize the exceptional challenges that farms face today and the American farmer’s commitment to environmental stewardship. This understanding of the dairy industry, and Vanguard’s substantial financial resources, provide our farm partners with stable, long-term, manure and nutrient management, herd health strategies, water conservation, reliable methane sequestration, and a diversified and dependable income stream.

Manure to renewable energy production via Farm Powered anaerobic digestion, effectively addresses the dairy methane emissions challenge with no farm investment required. Vanguard supplies 100 percent of the capital and ongoing operations for the facility.

And, the Farm Powered program complements other renewable energy sources such as solar and wind.

SAFETY FIRST

The safety of our employees is our greatest responsibility, so we demand constant vigilance to ensure a safe and healthy workplace. With safety as a core value, we nurture a culture that protects our employees, visitors, and everyone who calls the areas around our work sites “home.”

We begin with the belief that all accidents and injuries are preventable. The only acceptable number of incidents is zero — and we work continuously toward that goal. Our safety plans are comprehensive and prioritized by every member of our team, from the CEO to the safety officer to those in the field. We identify and manage risk through recognition, evaluation, education, and action. And we live the plan every day with training, accountability, and consistent interaction.

Job-specific safety plans, devised during the design phase, are constantly adapted to real time conditions, operations, and behavioral tracking data. As construction progresses, equipment management and critical lift plans are important components of our safety efforts, illustrative of our company-wide commitment to the wellbeing of our workforce.

Our unyielding focus on safety benefits clients too. A safe site means a well-organized project that stays on schedule and engenders an environment where high quality standards are met.
